"The Salvation Of Morgane" is the first album of the band Black Moon Tape and a sonic journey through pop, hard rock and psychedelic landscapes. It took 20 years to finish the project!
In 1996, when Will Z. was a teenager, he began to work on his first concept album, dealing with themes of his life at this moment; then he forgot about it, composed another album, left unfinished, then another, and another... The main idea of "The Salvation Of Morgane" was to collect all these puzzle pieces, put them together to tell a story, adding new songs and recent stories about musician's life on the road.
The band's music is a mix of Psychedelic Rock, Krautrock, Hard Rock, Folk, Power Pop, Shoegaze and Electronica. The band also had a taste for concept albums, drawing inspiration from personal experiences and Ancient texts.
"The Salvation Of Morgane" exists in three different versions: the debut version, released on CD in June 2017; the "Reset" debut EP with songs from "The Salvation Of Morgane" session, released on digital and streaming services the same year ("Reset" depicts future; "Some Shadows From My Past" depicts present and "Old Grey House" past); THIS updated version with another tracklisting, new songs and new versions, released on LP at Nomad Eel Records in June 2018.
